FG MEP Senator Jim Higgins has asked the Government to make tangible steps towards cutting its own carbon footprint by asking for environmental audits of Government Departments and for Government Departments to source their energy needs from renewable sources.

Fine Gael MEP Senator Jim Higgins today welcomed the decision by MEPs to support proposals to stop the practice of misleading airfares. The European Parliament voted to support the Degutis Report which will see an ending of the pricing anomaly practiced by some air carriers at present.
